What is collected. How pages are used: what gets viewed, how far it is read, what gets clicked. Your email address, if you subscribe. The questions you ask the chat and the answers it gives.

Some sessions are recorded, for visitors outside the EU, EEA, and UK. Beyond counts, a recording replays the clicks, scrolling, and navigation of a visit, so confusing or broken parts of the site can be found. Anything you type is masked, and a recording is not tied to a name or an email address: it shows what happened on the page, not who you are.

What it is used for. Improving this site and the analysis on it.

What this site does not do. No advertising. No selling or sharing of your data. No third-party advertising or social tracking scripts.

What is stored in your browser. A small cookie records your region, so this site knows which privacy rules to apply to you. Outside the EU, EEA and UK, analytics also store an anonymous identifier, so a repeat visit is not counted as a new person. In the EU, EEA and UK, and whenever your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, analytics run in memory only and are forgotten when you close the tab.

About chat questions. They are kept, because what readers ask is the clearest signal of what the analysis is missing. They are not attached to your email address, even if you gave one to continue. The connection between a question and any other activity expires after 90 days, after which the question stands on its own.
